Can I pay only for 2 days of the competition?

No. According to EUSA regulations, everyone must pay the full fee of 75 EUR per person per day (in EUR) for all competition days, even if they do not wish to participate on all days.

 

Can I pay less if I don’t want to use the accommodation?

No. According to EUSA regulations, everyone must pay the full fee of 75 EUR per person per day and 50 EUR participation fee (in EUR) even if they do not wish to use the accommodation provided by the Organizer.

 

Does the coach have to pay to participate in the competition?

Yes. According to EUSA regulations, every participant in the European Universities Championships (coach, athlete, accompanying person, etc.) must pay the full amount.

 

Who can compete as an athlete in the EUSA?

According to EUSA regulations, only students aged 17 to 30 years can participate in this competition. The age is calculated using the formula: participant’s age = 2025 – year of birth.

 

When will the European Universities Championships in Combat Sports take place?

The EUC in Combat Sports will take place from August 21 to26, 2025.

August 21st, 2025 – arrival day,

August 22nd, 2025 – GTM and opening ceremony,

August 23rd-25th, 2025 – completion days,

August 26th, 2025 – departure day.

 

Where will the European Universities Championships in Combat Sports take place?

The EUC in Combat Sports 2025 will take place in Poland, in Warsaw. The exact locations of individual venues can be found on the competition website:  https://combatsports2025.eusa.eu/location

 

 

Does the organizer provide transfer from the airport to hotels and between the hotel and competition venues?

Yes. The Organizer provides transportation between the Warsaw Chopin airport and hotels on arrival and departure days, as well as transport between hotel and sports halls using shuttle buses and free public transport with an ID.

Mixed Team Tournament (3rd day):

Teams can be composed of individuals from different universities and shall represent the respective NUSA.

The weight categories for the team tournament are as follows:

• Women (48 kg, 52 kg, 57 kg*) up to and including 57 kg,

• Men (60 kg, 66 kg, 73 kg*) up to and including 73 kg,

• Women (63 kg, 70 kg*) up to and including 70 kg,

• Men (81 kg, 90 kg*) up to and including 90 kg,

• Women (78 kg, +78 kg*) over 70 kg,

• Men (100 kg, +100 kg*) over 90 kg.

Athletes which are taking part in individual categories may register their participants for team tournament. Registration only to the team tournament is not possible.

 

 

From which airport will the transfer to the hotel be provided?

The transport to the hotel will be provided form Chopin Airport in Warsaw (WAW).

 

Can I arrive for the  competition on a different day than the official arrival days?

Yes. You can arrive earlier, but the organizer does not provide transportation from the airport. If you wish to stay at the hotel where you will be accommodated, you must pay for the extra night at the market rate.

 

Can I leave the championship on a different day than the official departure date?

Yes, but you will incur costs for the days you are not participating in the championship.

 

Does the organizer provide competition outfits?

Taekwondo: The organizer provides only torso and head protection – DAEDO GEN2

 

What are the clothing guidelines for Judo?

White and blue IJF approved judogi are obligatory and all competitors must have both types,

with official IJF back number. All judogi must conform to the current regulations regarding size,

materials etc., but it is not required that a judogi is purchased from the currently selected

IJF manufacturers list of suppliers. The judogi and belt size will be controlled by sokuteiki.

 

What are the clothing guidelines for Kickboxing?

Kickboxers cannot wear any jewelry or piercings of any kind.

1)      Ring disciplines:

A)     K1

• Safety equipment:

Head protection (top of the head must be covered), mouthguard (on upper teeth or both upper and lower teeth; if wearing orthodontic braces, a mouthguard for both upper and lower arches is mandatory), breast protection (for female kickboxers) (mandatory to be worn under a top (bra) or vest), hand wraps (cannot be taped), kickboxing gloves (10 Oz), groin protection (mandatory for male and female), shin guards (must cover shin and instep), foot wraps (optional) (must be covered by ankle support), ankle support (optional if foot wraps are not used).

• Clothes:

Kickboxing Shorts (must cover at least half of the thigh, up to a maximum of three-quarters of the thigh length; knees must be visible and uncovered; must have an elastic waistband 8-10 cm wide, in the same or different color than the rest of the shorts; shorts with names or logos from other sports or characteristic of other sports are not allowed).

Top for female fighters (must be made from elastic material or cotton, large enough to allow placing breast protection underneath; should be short enough to expose the stomach above the waistband; straps should be 3-5 cm wide). Men fight without a shirt – naked torso.

 

B)     Full Contact

• Safety equipment:

Head protection (top of the head must be covered), mouthguard (on upper teeth or both upper and lower teeth; if wearing orthodontic braces, a mouthguard for both upper and lower arches is mandatory), breast protection (for female kickboxers) (mandatory to be worn under a top (bra) or vest), hand wraps (cannot be taped), contact sport gloves (10 Oz), groin protection (mandatory for male and female), shin guards (must cover shin from below the knee to the top of the foot), use of shin guards in the form of socks covering the shinbone and instep is prohibited, ankle support (optional), foot protection (boots).

• Clothes:

Long pants (must have an elastic waistband 8-10 cm wide and may be in the same or different color than the rest of the pants; must extend from the waist to the ankle joint).

Top for female fighters(must be made from elastic material or cotton, large enough to allow placing breast protection underneath; should be short enough to expose the stomach above the waistband; straps should be 3-5 cm wide). Men fight without a shirt – naked torso.

 

2)      Tatami:

Long pants (must have an elastic waistband 8-10 cm wide, in a different color from the rest of the pants, or the competitor must wear a belt; must extend from the waist to the ankle joint);

V-neck T-shirt.

 

B)     Kick Light

• Safety equipment:

Hear protection, mouthguard (on upper teeth or both upper and lower teeth; if wearing orthodontic braces, a mouthguard for both upper and lower arches is mandatory), breast protection (only for female kickboxers), kickboxing gloves, wraps, groin protection (mandatory for male and female), shin guards, foot protection.

• Clothes:

Kickboxing Shorts (must have an elastic waistband in a different color from the rest of the shorts and T-shirt; shorts with names or logos from other sports or characteristic of other sports are not allowed).

Sleeveless T-shirt with a round neckline.

No belts indicating grade.

 

 

What are the clothing guidelines for Taekwondo?

The competitor's attire must comply with WT and WTE regulations.

A)     Before entering the fight area, the competitor must be dressed in a WT-approved (licensed) taekwondo uniform (dobok), a trunk PSS, head PSS, groin guard, forearm guards, shin guards, protective gloves and a mouth guard. In case of wearing dobok, the forearm and shin guards shall be worn beneath garment. In case of wearing competition uniform, the forearm and shin guards shall be worn in the garment. The groin guards shall be worn beneath garment for both cases.

B)     Putting anything on the head except the helmet is not allowed.

C)     The competitor's uniform may include the name of the school and optionally the competitor's surname; no other name may be used.

D)     The country's flag may only be used if the name of the school also appears.

 

What are the clothing guidelines for Karate?

All karate gi (kimono and protections) must be World Karate Federation (WKF) approved. Teams can only have university marks on their karate gi. All other markings must be removed from the karate gi. Medal winners are required to come to the medal ceremony in karate gi. Coaches are required to wear uniforms in final matches.

What documents are needed for verification and when will it take place?

Original Inidividual Entry Form(IEF) signed and sealed by the University of all participants need to be presented at the accreditation process, where the identity needs to be proved by showing the Personal document, as uploaded in the IEF.

What are the registration deadlines for European Universities Championships in Combat Sports?

General entry (preliminary registration) – March 15th – for events in August and September 2025.

Quantitative entry (quantitative registration) – 3 month before the events starts.

Individual entry (personal registration) – 1 month before the event starts.

Travel plan (arrival and departure plan) – 1 month before the event starts.

 

Will there be an opportunity to train on-site?

Yes. The Organizer will provide training opportunities on August 22nd, 2025.
